October, Autumn and Fall

Well our students have already gotten a week of October under their belts and the seasons are catching up. We escorted our reading buddies into the great outdoors to scavenge for signs of Autumn! We also found seeds, dragonflies, fresh air and more.

Students can look forward to their first Sharing assembly on October 12th, where a few classmates will be recognized for showing the TDSB character traits, which can be checked out here: (http://schoolweb.tdsb.on.ca/pleasant/CharacterTraits.aspx)

Congratulations to our Grade 4's for finishing graphing and charts, as we start the new Number Patterns unit in Math!

October is big for books, October 12th is also our day to access the book fair in our library. We also are sending home scholastic book orders as booklets. Please have the orders in by Oct 21st.

Scientists in the Schools will be coming to show us some experiments with Pulleys and Gears in Science class on Oct 27th. Parent volunteers are encouraged to sign up, why let the students have all the fun?
